Project KickBack

September 4, 2021

Youth often grow out of their soccer shoes before they wear them out.  Rather than collect dust in a bin or basement, Project KickBack looks to give these soccer shoes a second life to members of our community.  LUFC collects gently used soccer shoes throughout the year, and donates them to families in need prior to each soccer season - no questions asked.

The Lakeshore United FC KickBack program was started in 2015 by LUFC teammates Dani Bruckschen and Bonnie Lacey, and is now run by parent & player volunteers.  Since its inception, Project KickBack has given out over 600 pairs of soccer shoes to families.  This has helped improve access to this game we love to play, and supports our mission of providing soccer opportunities for youth of all abilities and backgrounds.

If purchasing soccer shoes contributes to your financial burden or limits your son or daughter from playing soccer, you can fill out the form below in confidence and we'll be in touch privately to arrange pickup.

We want to thank all of our LUFC families that have donated soccer shoes throughout the years.  If you have gently used soccer shoes that you would like to donate, we'll have drop off locations this fall at our Community Soccer tournament and this winter at our KCU Fit Center.

We also want to thank Thrivent for their support of Project KickBack.  Thanks to Thrivent's donations, we were able to purchase cleaning supplies and racking for all of our donated shoes this year.
