Futsal Summary

Why Futsal?

The top priority of Futsal is to motivate players in an environment that is conducive to learning. The more pleasure kids derive from their participation, the more they wish to play and practice on their own. While their instinct to play is natural, their affection and appreciation for soccer must be cultivated. Futsal is the foundation to such goals because it:

  • Allows players to frequently touch the ball.

  • Presents many opportunities to score goals and score goals often.

  • Encourages regaining possession of the ball as a productive, fun and rewarding part of the game (defending).

  • Maximizes active participation and minimizes inactivity and boredom.

  • Reflects the philosophy of player development expressed in state and national coaching schools.

  • Eliminates complicated rules such as off-sides that may hinder youngsters from "playing".

Leagues will look to match skill rather than just age and gender, allowing for skill level matched competition for all players.

Team Formation

At the beginning of each indoor season, players register as individuals and will be assigned to a team and training group by the DOC and/or Indoor Program Director based on a player's age, grade, and ability.

Please join us this winter at the newly remodeled KCU FIT Center (LUFC's Futsal Indoor Training sponsored by Kohler Credit Union KCU) with its state of the art Futsal floor. Located conveniently just off I-43 at 4110 State Hwy 42.

All participants must have a signed KCU Fit Waiver on file.  Please print, sign, and provide to your coach prior to the first practice/game.
